As you decorate each concentric circle of the Mandala with geometric patterns, 

you will find that it absorbs you entirely - a great opportunity to forget about all

 the mundane tasks of the day and focus your energies on the creation.


What you will learn:


- History and meaning of Mandala and it`s elements

- Motifs used and the meaning behind them

- Grid making in Mandala

- How to use the motifs for your composition

- Ability to create your own mandala artwork 

- Experiencing the psychological benefits from the mandala making procedure



Materials required:


- Watercolours of your choice 

- Ivory or Cartridge sheet (Any thick drawing sheet)

- Flat brush - size 8

- Permanent marker with a thin point

- Pencil, Eraser, Compass & Scale

- Scissors

- Colour palette, waste cloth and water container

POONAM MURARKAR  is a self taught mandala artist and loves to explore 

mandala and Indian folk art forms.
